FAQ
- What does 'Practice' do?
- The 'Practice' button generates 5 random problems for the associated tutorial.
- How do I evaluate an expression like '3+5'?
- Click on the '+' symbol to zoom into evaluation mode. From there, simply type in the answer and press Enter.
- How does division work?
- Division in algebra is simply eliminating common factors in the numerator and denominator. For example, to evaluate '12/3', first factorize '12' into '3*4', then click on the dividing line ('/') to get access to the numerator and denominator directly. Then use the Reducer tool to eliminate '3' in both the numerator and denominator.
- How do I use the Exponent Product/Power Tools?
- First click on the appropriate tool to activate it, then click on an appropriate '*' sign for the Exponent Product Tool, or an appropriate exponent for the Exponent Power Tool.
