There are a couple of parts...
There's the coefficient and then the base/exponent chain.
For example, 3x
3x is a term, the '3' is the coefficient and the'x' is the rest.
- 84xyz -> 84 is the coefficient and xyz is the rest.
- 9x^2 -> 9 is the coefficient and x^2 is the rest.
